WHO is soliciting nominations or self-nominations to the Malaria Policy Advisory Committee (MPAC). Nominations must be submitted no later than 30 September 2011...
The MPAC will be the principal advisory group to WHO on malaria control and elimination. The MPAC will report to the WHO Director-General and will advise WHO on:
- appropriate malaria policies and standards based on data from malaria programme implementation by Member States and malaria control partners, as well as reviews of the best available evidence;
- engagement of WHO in malaria-related initiatives; major issues and challenges to achieving global malaria goals;
- and the identification of priority activities to address identified challenges.
Consideration will be given to ensuring appropriate geographic representation and gender balance.
Please forward this email and the attached announcement through your networks to relevant colleagues who may be interested in nominating themselves or someone else for the MPAC.
Sincerely,
