I am an ophthalmologist with a background in malaria biology, and I am leading a survey study to understand how clinicians diagnose cerebral malaria.
The results indicate that in the absence of CXCL-10, the resulting up-regulation of Foxp3, IL-10 and IL-2 may be involved in attenuating the severity of fatal murine CM in CXCL-10-/- mice.
