Malaria No More (MNM) is a U.S. based NGO determined to end malaria deaths around the globe. MNM strives to achieve its goal by engaging with a variety of domestic and international leaders, rallying the public, and delivering life saving tools and education to families across Africa. Malaria No More partners with private foundations, governments, individuals, corporate partners and a dedicated Board of Directors to ensure that one day no child dies from the bite of a malaria infected mosquito.
The Vice President, Resource Development (VP) will be charged with mobilizing resources to support MNM’s mission of ending malaria deaths. The VP will position MNM globally as a foundational player in the effort to eradicate the disease by working to maintain and expand financial support from high net-worth individuals, corporations, foundations, associations, and other sources. Reporting to the CEO, the VP will partner with the Board of Directors and leadership team to develop and oversee a comprehensive strategy for donor recruitment and retention of key partners within the global health donor community.
The new VP must have 10-15 years experience in fundraising leadership roles. Documented success in achieving fundraising goals is required, as is strong interpersonal skills. Experience in managing teams and mobilizing volunteers to lead resource development and donor cultivation activities is highly valued. Given the breadth of the partner organizations that MNM works with, preferred candidates will have experience working with large, professionally staffed foundations, high net worth individuals, and corporations. Some experience with international resource development is desired, as is experience with global health organizations and multilateral institutions. This position is based in Seattle, Washington, but occasional travel will be required.
