The Innovative Vector Control Consortium (IVCC) is a Product Development Partnership (PDP) established to overcome the barriers to innovation in products for the control of insects that transmit malaria, dengue and other neglected tropical diseases. Funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, IVCC has established a strong development portfolio for insecticide products, information systems and tools. Following a new $50 million award from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the IVCC now wishes to appoint a Senior Programme Manager to validate new paradigms in vector control and deliver their target product profiles.
This role provides an opportunity for an experienced technical programme manager with experience in public health to uncover new opportunities for vector control. The Senior Programme Manager will create and manage a portfolio of projects which will lead to validation of novel intervention paradigms for Vector Control and to establish their target product profiles.
Experience in some of the following fields would be desirable:
- Exposure to innovative industrial product development programmes
- Experience of undertaking field trials, especially epidemiologically oriented trials
- Working in tropical disease endemic country settings
The successful candidate will be assessed in the role against successful delivery of validated Target Product Profiles for new product development.
