A post-doctoral position is available in the Dept. of Medicine, Penn State Univ. College of Medicine (USA) to work on a new research effort sponsored by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
 
The objective of the project will be study the effect of low power microwaves on the malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum.
The ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. and/or M.D., be highly motivated, have a strong work ethic and have a strong foundation in flow cytometry, cell culture, and cultivation of malaria parasites. Experience with fluorescent microscopy and electron microscopy are also highly desirable.
