The LMU Malaria Group invites you to apply for a PhD position in gametocyte research in collaboration with DZIF institutes starting from now. Research topics are the optimisation of gametocyte diagnostic and the characterisation of immune response in men (in collaboration with Tübingen, Prof. Kremsner) and mice by developing a multi-epitope malaria vaccine.
Applicants should be post-graduate (Diploma/Master) in biology or biochemistry and experienced in molecular and immunological methods. Superior skills and knowledge in immunology is a necessary prerequisite. International working experience and knowledge in parasitology, especially malaria, are advantageous.
