An opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer to work within the MRC Tropical Epidemiology Group (TEG) at LSHTM, a leading international group of statisticians and epidemiologists conducting research on the epidemiology and control of major public health problems in developing countries with a focus on HIV, tuberculosis and malaria, and a special emphasis on interventions. Specifically the post holder will hold a senior statistical position within the ACT Consortium, a global research partnership working to maximize the public health impact of artemisinin-based combination therapy (ACTs) through high quality, policy driven, and multidisciplinary operational research.
The post is suitable for candidates with a postgraduate degree in statistics or epidemiology. Applicants should have demonstrable experience in applying statistical and epidemiological methods to health research; experience in managing and analysing large and complex datasets, particularly those arising from cluster randomised trials; strong organisational and communication skills; and can work independently as well as within a team.
